Old Temple

old temple on the puddle

By  OM PRAKASH

That old temple on the puddle testifies to many generations,

Standing at the edge of the village, this building is immovable even today, it is unshakable,

This old man, standing with the memories of years, looks tired.

Facing east as if showing the way to the light

Giving us a glimpse of coming home, giving us recognition,

The lover young man facing the pond sometimes looks at the reflection of himself, sometimes the temple

Sometimes drowning in the dream of a girlfriend, falls asleep in her courtyard

There is also a den of cards for the elderly, there is also a playground for children.

Women would enter for the lap, God of everyone's faith.

The campus gets lit up in Chhath, the building resonates with songs,

The headman is the participant in many decisions of the village.

Is a partner in many oaths, is the secret of many secrets

It is not only a temple standing at the edge of the village but also a village watchman.
